Farewell Fergie! Our infographic tribute

After 27 years as the manager of one of the world’s biggest football clubs, Sir Alex Ferguson has decided to call time on his career at Manchester United. With a grand total of 38 trophies under his belt since arriving at Old Trafford in 1986, the Scot is widely regarded as one of the greatest club managers there has ever been.

Here at insure4sport we’ve decided to pay tribute to Sir Alex by compiling our very own Fergie infographic, listing some of his biggest career highlights and memorable moments at United’s helm. We’ve included stats on his amazing trophy haul, along with details of legendary bust-ups, his biggest signings and even a meeting with the Queen at Buck House. And of course we couldn’t leave out a particular changing room incident involving a football boot, a famous temper, a swift kick and David Beckham’s forehead.

Whether you’re a supporter of the Red Devils or not, it’s impossible not to be impressed by the accomplishments of a man who led his team to 13 domestic titles, spent 17 games away from the dugout because of touchline bans and claimed 49 trophies during his entire career. Fergie, we salute you!
